Pops: “South Pacific” in Concert

Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. 8 p.m. Jeff Tyzik conducts an orchestral arrangement of the world famous musical “South Pacific” in a class-filled way to end your week. Cost: $26 - $74.

Rochester Flower City Challenge

Downtown Rochester. 7:30 a.m. The triathlon and duathlon, portions of the Rochester Flower City Challenge, are being held today. Come out and watch top athletes run, bike and paddle around the Flower City. Or if you’re feeling adventurous, participate!Registration is available the morning of the event. Cost: Free to watch or $60 to participate.

Comedy Open Mic

Boulder Coffee Co., 100 Alexander St. 6:30 p.m. This open mic night hosted by Nigel Larson is comedy only. Better start doing some crunches to prepare yourself for a sore stomach from all those belly laughs. Cost: Free.

O’Callaghan Pub Wii Bowling League

470 Monroe Ave. 6:30 p.m. Looking for a way to take your Wii bowling skills outside of your apartment? You can sign up teams of three (two players and one alternate) for O’Cal’s 10 week league, which will culminate in a tournament of champions. Must be 21 or older to bowl. Cost: $5 per player per night.

Mastodon

Water Street Music Hall, 204 N. Water St. 7 p.m. The epic metal band Mastodon is making a stop by the Water Street Music Hall. These tickets are nearing extinction like it’s their job, so pick ‘em up in advance. Cost: $23.50 in advance, $27 at the door.

MCC 41st Annual Jazz Festival

Monroe Community College Theatre, Building 4. 7:30 p.m. Featuring the MCC Jazz ensemble as well as The WEE Trio. Cost: Free.

Exhibit Retrospective: Marianne Fox

Artisan Works, 565 Blossom Rd. 11 a.m. — 6 p.m. Dream-like works from deceased local artist, Marianne Fox, will be on display. Cost: Adults $12, students $8, members free.
